Engaging with Malaysia’s Legal Community
LEXUP is passionate about giving back to the legal profession that we serve. From sponsorships and moot court competitions to community-building through Legal Kopitiam and articles from practising lawyers, we are proud to support, learn from, and grow alongside Malaysia’s legal community.

Sharing knowledge from the people on the front lines of Malaysian legal practice.
Legal Kopitiam is our open community space — a digital coffee shop where Malaysian lawyers, pupils, in-house counsel, and friends of the profession swap practical tips, war stories, and the occasional “has anyone else seen this clause before?” question.
We are not a law firm and nothing on this page constitutes legal advice. Articles reflect the personal views of their authors and are shared for general information only. Always consult a qualified lawyer for advice on your specific matter.
Practical, plain-English notes by practising Malaysian lawyers on points that come up in everyday practice — procedural quirks, drafting traps, recent cases, and the human side of running a legal matter.
If you would like to contribute, get in touch — we are always happy to feature thoughtful pieces by members of the Bar.
If you are a practising lawyer in Malaysia and have something useful to share with your colleagues, we would love to publish it. Reach out and tell us what you have in mind.
